The specialized service was a natural evolution of Alice in the Attic©.  Much  research is involved with the development of the special links in  items discovered and sold.  This is the type of information that should be shared with people with similar interest and piles of items stored away, or special keepsakes they have held onto.  The popular venues like eBay and the Road Show emphasize how strong an interest prevails.  

Aside from a directed interest or passion for collecting, many people are confronted by the need to downsize for various and sundry reasons, or handle an estate or the affects of a deceased person.  Many are under time constraints and may have very small budgets.  This tends to cloud how tasks are handled and prized and valuable items go astray -    some just for the sake of getting everything done with.  You may remember the articles about someone finding valuable treasures in the trash -- don't let this happen to you.  You first, the junkman/scavenger last!  Besides, even if you do not find something of a huge monetary value, you have, at least, organized and downsized your home and possibly rediscovered  something very important to you.
