It
is essential to create lists of the items you have for various reasons.
One is for insurance purposes, and another -- well, simply, just
to know what you have, its history, and its value (monetary and/or
personal), and purposes.
You can either create a paper list or a
computerized list. The latter is better because you can add each
item on one list and then sort it alphabetically, or by subject, and
include photos. This can all be saved and sent by
e-mail to anyone you choose. You should eventually print a copy of
the list for your records. But if you do not have a computer, or
do not want to use a computer for this important part of your project,
paper lists can be just as easy to create.
Remember to take at least one photo to add
your list. These photos will actually save you time describing the
item and do not forget to include any special manufacturer or
artist markings.
The icons below will direct you to
sections that have instructions for creating the lists or
databases with at least sample.
Since this is a new section a link may not
be currently active. More data is being added regularly so stop by
often to see the results.
